Rider, 26, killed after bike and car collide

A MAN is dead after his motorcycle collided with a car.

Police believe the 26-year-old Scarborough man was riding along Anzac Ave in Kippa Ring, is the state's south-east, when his bike struck a car turning right into Hindmarsh St.

The rider was left in a critical condition as emergency services rushed him to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.

He was later pronounced dead.

The 37-year-old driving the other car was not hurt.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or was driving in the area around 4.40pm on Tuesday who may have dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
