SAM Hinze set a course record 77 off the white markers in the Warwick Golf Club women's A-grade championship at the weekend.

Women's captain Pat Eastwell said players teed off from more difficult positions on some holes.

"We also use the white markers for monthly medals," Eastwell said.

Hinze set her record in round 3.

She retained her A-grade title with a score of 329.

Past winner Marg Adcock was runner-up on 352.

In B grade, Annice Payne won her first B-grade title with 385, nine shots in front of Patsy McIntosh.

Melanie McLennan, won C grade with 423 from runner-up Marge Burley.

Adcock won veterans' and Yvonne Pinington the Carol Russell Memorial Trophy for best nett over the four rounds.
