Real estate owner in strife for banned driving

REAL estate business owner Tye Joseph Thies's decision to drive while disqualified has resulted in a lengthy ban.

The 28-year-old yesterdayTuesday pleaded guilty in Toowoomba Magistrates Court to getting into a work car and driving down Neil St on January 21 this year.

Police prosecutor Sgt Tony Costa said Thies was at the time subject to a driving ban which was due to end in April.

However, the new end date will be in February 2017 after Magistrate Graham Lee fined Thies $750 and disqualified him from driving for two years.
