Rams ahead as Gremlins clash looms

THE Stanthorpe Gremlins will travel south to the border this Saturday.

They will go head-to-head with the Wallangarra Rams on blue and gold territory.

After last week's games both teams are coming off losses with Stanthorpe ranked sixth and Wallangarra ranked fifth on the Border Rugby League table.

Gremlins president Norman Crisp said players would be fighting fit.

"Everyone will be fit and ready for the weekend," Crisp said.

"Basically, we will have the same squad as last week.

"We aren't expecting anyone back from injury."

That being said the Gremlins will be out several key and experienced players again.

Crisp said the two teams last played each other on April 27.

"The boys are expecting another tough game," Crisp said.

"Wallangarra have been improving all season so this won't be easy.

"There should be good crowd there supporting both teams which always makes for a good afternoon.'

He also said while a win would be nice Gremlins' main aim was to keep improving.

"We beat Wallangarra last time so hopefully we can do that again.

THIS WEEKEND'S DRAW

  • Inglewood v Goondiwindi Blue at MacIntyre Sports Complex
  • Tenterfield v Killarney at Tenterfield
  • Goondiwindi Maroon - bye
