Raids uncover 15 cannabis plants

FIFTEEN cannabis plants were located in the backyard of a Yarrawonga St residence in Glennie Heights yesterday.

A 41-year-old Warwick man was issued with a notice to appear in court in early April for producing dangerous drugs.

The plants were seized by police at 3pm.

A Warwick Police spokesman said the quantity was a fair amount.

"It's a significant amount of plants for a residential area; for somewhere in town," he said.

Just six hours earlier, a search warrant was conducted just streets away in Gillam St, where a small amount of cannabis was located and a number of drug utensils.

Police intelligence identified this address as well as the Yarrawonga St residence.

Police are investigating the Gillam St case, but the spokesman said they did not believe the two were related.
