Rachel keen to be Rodeo Princess

RACHEL Jones is ramping up her campaign to be 2010 Warwick Rodeo Princess with a prize-laden raffle.

The fourteen-year-old rodeo fan has been selling tickets in Rose City ShoppingWorld every day of her school holidays from 1pm to 5pm.

The top prize is a night's accommodation at the Watermark Hotel on the Gold Coast with tonnes of other prizes including a season's supply of fire wood, gym passes and gift vouchers.

The would-be Rodeo Princess told the Daily News she became involved in the quest because she loved going to the rodeo and meeting new people while getting involved in fundraising for the community.

She has been an eager horse rider for three years, and since moving to Warwick was introduced to the world of eventing which she regularly competes in.

Rachel's raffle will be drawn on Wednesday 13 October during Rib Night at the Condamine Sports Club.

Judging for the 2010 Rodeo Queen Quest Judging takes place Saturday, October 16, with the Queen crowned at the ball that night. Warwick Show and Rodeo Society.
