Qld MP calls for Katter and Palmer parties to join forces
CONDAMINE MP Ray Hopper is calling for a minor party coalition in Queensland so that there will be a genuine threat to the LNP come the 2015 state election.
Mr Hopper wants Katter's Australian Party, the Palmer United Party and independents to join forces.
The Katter's Australian Party Queensland leader wants the parties to work together at the next state election.
His push comes after Katter's Australian Party suffered a backlash at Saturday's federal election.
The party failed to pick up any other lower or upper house seats.
Leader Bob Katter has suffered a 16 per cent swing against him in his north Queensland seat of Kennedy.
