A GYMNASTICS-based program for young children is set to expand across the South Burnett.

The South Burnett PCYC currently run the Tiny Tots program in Murgon, but it will be rolled out in Kingaroy and Nanango.

The PCYC's Rod Gelderblom said the team was excited about the program's expansion.

"Tiny Tots is a developmental program for families with children between the ages of six months to five years,” Mr Gelderblom said.

"It promotes bonding of parent and child in an adventure based playful environment, while developing gross and fine motor skills of the children.

"The program is designed to increase the skills with social and emotional well-being of the children and parents by engaging with other families and providing a support network for parents in similar circumstances.”

Mr Geldebrom said the program would commence at the beginning of May in both Kingaroy, at 11/27 Pound Street, and Nanango, at Rapid Fitness.

"Tiny Tots is currently run in Murgon and we have been able to take this program to other areas due to the assistance and support of the South Burnett Regional Mayor's Community Benefit Fund,” he said.
