Police investigate Gympie armed robbery

GYMPIE police have released a comfit image of a man who may be able to assist in relation to the armed robbery of an electronic retail store this morning.

Around 7.30am a man allegedly approached a female staff member outside the rear of the Mary Street store before producing a knife and demanding cash.

 

Police say the man fled on foot with a sum of cash.  

The staff member was not physically injured.

The man is described as being aged in his twenties, medium height, fair complexion, thin build, clean shaven, brown eyes and brown short cropped hair.  

He was wearing a dark long sleeved shirt and blue jeans.
