Police continue crackdown on drugs in Stanthorpe

STANTHORPE police are continuing to crackdown on drugs, charging a number of people with drug-related offences in the past week.

A Mt Gravatt man was charged on Saturday night, after police pulled him over at Thulimbah and allegedly found the drug ice and smoking utensils in his car.

Another driver has also been charged by Stanthorpe police for failing to give a sample for a random drug test.

The 18-year-old Wynnum man was pulled over by police in High St,  where he allegedly refused to provide a specimen for a drug test.

He again allegedly refused to give a sample at the Stanthorpe Police Station.

The man was charged with failing to provide a relevant specimen and his driver's licence was suspended immediately.

Police also conducted a search at a White St property last week, discovering a number of marijuana plants, seeds and drug-related utensils.

The 38-year-old man who lived at the property will receive drug diversion for three drug-related charges.
