Oz tag rivalries set to go head to head

OZ TAG: STANTHORPE’S oz tag competition is heating up, as junior and senior teams gear up for season finals on Thursday night.

Junior games will start from 4.30pm where the Unicorns and the A Team will go head to head, followed by the Dream Team versus the Sharks and Alpha Team take on the Nerd Herd at 5.10pm.

Teachers from Stanthorpe State High School, Chalkies, will meet with their students, Literal Bins, in what is said to be anybody’s game.

The two teams met earlier in the season which saw the Chalkies walking away with the win in a nailbiting finish, 7-8.

Stanthorpe oz tag co-ordinator Darcy Filmer said it was going to be the game to watch.

“You’ve got the brains going up against the young fellas,” said Filmer.

“It will definitely be a close one. “

The two rivalries will fight for the top podium position at Sullivan Oval, kicking off their game at 7.45pm on field 1.

The junior medal presentation will take place at 5.45pm, followed by the senior medal presentation at 8.30pm.
