
One car on its roof in a two-car crash on Boat Harbour Dr
AN ELDERLY driver needed to be cut from the wreckage of his car after it rolled onto its roof during a two-vehicle crash.
The crash happened about 3.10pm on Saturday at the intersection of Boat Harbour Dr and Queens Rd.
A Mercedes SUV and a Toyota Hilux were involved.
An Ambulance spokesman on the scene told the Chronicle the 92-year-old male driver of the Hilux needed to be cut from the wreckage.
He was taken to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition with suspected spinal injuries.
The driver and passenger of the Mercedes were not hurt.
A previous version of this story incorrectly reported the elderly man was a 90-year-old.
