Off-season soccer a heap of fun

TEMPERATURES were a bit chilly for the Summer 6s players last week and with the Stanthorpe State High Schools Awards night affecting some team numbers, teams had to be topped up with players from other teams - thanks to players who doubled up.

Still Got It got over the line against YOLO squad and Mixed Up, with the help of an old hand, got over the Thunder Ladies.

After a slow start, Young Guns had a good win over Tenterfield.

Super 6s were too strong for a tired Not Fast But Furious who had plenty of players coming back from Toowoomba after playing in the Red Lion Cup.

Mountain Men proved again that age was no barrier with a closely fought win over the previously unbeaten M/City.

Thank you to all referees and volunteers who helped make it another enjoyable night.

Game times for Summer 6s today:

  • 6pm - Super 6s v Thunder, with Mixed Up as referee; YOLO Squad v Not Fast But Furious, referee Still Got It.
  • 7pm - Tenterfield v Mountain Men, with referee M/City; Still Got It v Mixed Up, with Super 6s as referee.
  • 8pm - Young Guns v M/City, referee is Mountain Men.
