LOVE the theatricality of Casablanca and the drama of Guys and Dolls? If so, Little Theatre's upcoming production will meet all those desires and more.

The theatre's bold new play will hit the stage on March 16 and 17, in what promise to be shows to remember.

"Our theatrical year continues with the return of Our Own Guys and Dolls, who are visiting Rick's Cafe in Casablanca,” Judy Flitcroft said.

"We will be recreating some small snippets from the movie and performing songs from the era.

"It will be another red carpet affair, so wear your best bling and join us.

"We have some of your favourite performers back and some new ones for you to enjoy.

"Pauline Leigh and Marissa Patane will be spectacular in their costumes as well as in song,” she said.

"The Andrews siblings - Dianne, Debbie and Martin - will be bringing some fun tunes to life for your enjoyment.

"New performers are Dianne Mitchell, Cynthia Collins and Richard McCarthy, who are brining their special qualities to the cast. Christine Glockner adds charm and intrigue by singing in French and German - some songs made popular during the time.

"This year Debbie Draven has a much bigger role and will delight.

"Denise and Morwenna Harslett are adding their musical talents to the mix, along with Martin Balk on the double bass and Nick Negerivich on saxophone, to give us the romantic feel to the great story of Casablanca.”

There will also be a dance element, with two of the region's premier ballroom dancers taking to the stage.

"Ballroom dancing is back on television and we at the theatre have two of the best ballroom dancers in the district coming to perform in our show,” Ms Flitcroft said.

"Elizabeth Ratajjezyk and her partner Calwyn Dunlop are joining our cast from Warwick to entrance you in Rick's Cafe. They will be performing two dances.”

Peter Watters will host the evenings.
