Boyd makes weary but triumphant return to the Knights

NRL: Knights fullback Darius Boyd will take the field under fatigue against the Titans at Hunter Stadium tomorrow, but also with the elation of playing a big role in Queensland's win over the Blues on Wednesday night.

Boyd scored two tries in the 26-6 win, and will bring a positive attitude back to the Newcastle team.

"I am feeling very pumped, all the boys played well and I want to come back to the Knights and have another win with them on Sunday," he said.

After suffering an ankle injury during the Knights' round 11 loss to the Warriors, Boyd worked around the clock to prove his fitness for the first Origin match.

"It is so much better than what it was. I will keep getting more treatment and it will get there in the next few weeks I am sure," he said.

The Knights have lost their past four straight games, but Boyd is confident his team can bounce back against the Titans.

"We had a good win against them up there and need to play like that again this weekend. We know what works well and that will go a long way to winning," he said.

This match will see Titans lock Ashley Harrison play his 100th game for the club.
