Nominations sought for top staff
WARWICK businesses are being urged to nominate an outstanding staff member for a 2010 Rotary Pride of Workmanship Award.
Nominations close on October 22 and the awards will be presented at the Warwick RSL Club on November 12.
Nomination forms are being sent to local businesses and additional forms can be obtained from Yve Stocks by phoning 0417 620 648 or by emailing: email@example.com
The Rotary Club of Warwick is organising the awards in partnership with Mission Australia Employment Services.
Ms Stocks said Pride of Workmanship was not a competition.
“It is a recognition of individual achievement and commitment to his or her vocation, regardless of age or vocation.
“The Rotary Club of Warwick has promoted this worthwhile project on an annual basis since 2003 and the number of recipients has increased each year.”
Last year the awards attracted strong nominations and a full house for the presentation night.
The theme for the awards this year is “Do it once, do it well. Build a better Australia”.
Ms Stocks said awardees should display outstanding qualities in terms of approach, dedication and commitment to their job.
This included all aspects of work performance and ethics, including quality and quantity of output, safety, initiative and a sense of responsibility.
