New manager fit for WIRAC

HE LOVES working out in the gym, running and playing basketball and now David Jordan is ready to take on a new challenge.

Mr Jordan will start as the centre manager of WIRAC tomorrow, and he has big plans to build a stronger relationship with the community.

With extensive experience in the fitness and recreation industry, the new WIRAC manager said he was eager to settling into Warwick after moving from Brisbane.

“I’m looking forward to taking on the role of centre manager at WIRAC and building on the strong community support for health, wellness and aquatics activity in regional Queensland,” he said.

Mr Jordan takes over from former manager Frederic Meyer, who finished up in May after 18 months at WIRAC.

Having managed large community facilities, the basketball-loving manager is no stranger to his new role.

He also owned and operated a chain of health clubs, worked as a franchise manager in the health and wellness sector and served as the national corporate relationship manager for a large health club chain.

Mr Jordan also worked with registered training organisations as a lecturer and as a state operations manager.

“My passion is to educate and motivate individuals and communities about the long-term benefits of health and wellness,” he said.

Mr Jordan is also a junior basketball coach at club and association level.
