New Gremlins coaches in the line-up
Rugby League: The Gremlins are back and ready for a new season with coaches now assigned to all the teams.
Vice-president of Stanthorpe Rugby League Incorporated Chris Haynes said this year they were welcoming some new faces.
"A lot of them are returning coaches, which is great, especially with the experience of Dave Fleming and Pat McCormick,” Haynes said.
"Peter Brannigan is great to have on in under-12s
"We've got some new faces in Mitchell Hurtz, Roger O'Brien and Emily Mcguire.
"It's also great to have Damian Petrie on board as an under-9s coach with his wealth of experience.”
Haynes is also hoping to field an under-11s team, with numbers not quite what they need to be.
"The U11s will merge with U12s, so we're encouraging anyone to come forward who wants to be in U11s.”
The C-grade men will begin training in early February, while the junior teams will start later next month with matches kicking off after Easter.
"Hopefully we'll pick up some extra players because of the success of the club from last year.
"But its not only their exposure and their success,” Haynes said.
"It's a great club to be around and the happy families that are happy to be here that encourage others to come.”
