Netball: The 2018 season is shaping up to be a big one for Stanthorpe netball. A Come and Try Day was held on March 10 and it was fantastic to see so many new faces.

If you missed the day, no need to worry as registrations are still open and we will be holding our grading day on April 21, with our season starting on April 28.

Children from five years are welcome and boys are able to compete until they turn 12.

Children aged 5-10 can enjoy the fun of our Net Set Go program, which is designed to teach ball skills and teamwork in a fun environment.

Last season our older players thoroughly enjoyed playing in a full match competition with four established teams.

This year we are hoping to expand the number of teams in this competition.

As well as our growing Saturday morning competition, this year we will be entering four teams in the Darling Downs Inter District competition which will see our netballers travel to carnivals and compete against teams from Lockyer, Laidley, Toowoomba, Dalby and Goondiwindi, to name but a few.

The first Inter District Carnival for 2018 will be held this weekend at Highfields Netball Club in Toowoomba. Good luck to all our players and their coaches.

Stanthorpe Netball offers children from the age of five the opportunity to get active and compete in a team sport in a fun, friendly and inclusive environment without the need for travel or an enormous time commitment from parents. Both Net Set Go and our competition games are on Saturday mornings.

We do not play on public holiday weekends or school holidays.
