Mum and dad locked out of hot car with two toddlers inside

REPORTS of children left in a car outside Bunnings in Maroochydore sent police officers into swift action yesterday afternoon.

Witnesses reported two children around three years old were left unsupervised in the car just before 2pm.

The vehicle appeared to be running and all of the windows were rolled up.

A police media spokesman said officers in attendance had found it to be an accidental lock-in and the parents were near the vehicle.

A couple of hours earlier, police also went to the rescue of a large dog left unattended in a Jeep wagon in an underground carpark at Mooloolaba.
