Men drag 87-yo woman into room, ransack her home

POLICE are searching for two men who forced their way into the home of an 87-year-old woman this morning and ransacked her house. 

Initial investigations indicate that just before 7am, the men forced entry to the house on Grainger Street in Wynnum West. 

The woman was dragged by one of the men and forced into a room while they ransacked several rooms before leaving. 

Both men were described as having a slim build and had their faces covered. 

It is believed they left the scene on foot, heading along Grainger Street and then east along Roseneath Street.

The elderly woman was transported to Redlands Hospital for precautionary examination. 

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the vicinity of Grainger Street around the time of the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
