Marijuana seed, leaves seized in home search

TWO people have been charged after marijuana seeds and leaves were seized during a search warrant just south of the Queensland border near Tenterfield.

About 2pm on Thursday, police attended a home on Ballendean Street, Jennings, and executed the warrant.

During a search of the premises, police allegedly located a resealable bag containing 8g of cannabis seed and also 30g of cannabis leaf concealed in different locations within the house.

A 52-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman were both issued with notices to appear for possessing a prohibited drug.

They are expected to appear before Armidale Local Court on April 4.
