Man dies in RBH after crash

A STANTHORPE man, 71, has died in hospital after being involved in a car crash on Wednesday.

Police are investigating a collision between a red Holden utility and a silver Ford Falcon which occurred at the intersection of Wallangarra Rd and College Rd at Stanthorpe at 9.50am.

A police spokesman said it appeared one of the vehicles had failed to stop at a stop sign. The 71-year-old driver sustained minor injuries.

The man was later airlifted to the Royal Brisbane Hospital where he died on Thursday. The spokesman said it was understood an existing medical condition contributed to the man's death.
