Police identify fatal crash victim
UPDATE: Gowrie Junction man Danny Fyn has been identified as the victim of a fatal car crash on Ramsay St in Middle Ridge.
EARLIER:Emergency services were called to Ramsay St, near Echo Valley Park, about 12.30pm yesterday after reports a car had crashed into a tree.
Paramedics arrived to find the driver, a man aged in his 50s, dead at the scene.
They treated the 30-year-old woman passenger for a fractured arm before taking her to Toowoomba Hospital.
The accident happened on the dirt section of Ramsay St.
Toowoomba Police Acting Sergeant Des Neijens said the investigation was very much in the early stages.
"It's a really early stage in the investigation and there are a lot of people to be spoken to yet," he said.
"We're really trying to investigate further to find out what happened and information from the public would be welcome."
