Man charged with distributing child porn after police raid

A MAN has been charged with distributing child pornography after a raid by police at West Ballina yesterday.

Posting on the Richmond Local Area Command this morning, Inspector Bernadette Ingram said officers raided a home and seized a computer and other items.

A 58-year-old man was charged with possessing child abuse material and using a carriage service to distribute child pornography.

The man was refused bail and is expected to appear at Lismore Local Court this month.
