Man armed with knife robs antique store of cash

POLICE are searching for a man who held up a Stanthorpe antiques store at knife point.

Stanthorpe police officer-in-charge Senior Sergeant Mark Ireland said the incident occurred about 1.30pm Friday.

"The offender, who was wearing a hat and a scarf across his face, entered the shop and demanded money before fleeing the antique store in a southerly direction on High St, Stanthorpe," Sen. Sgt Ireland said.

"He escaped with a quantity of cash."
