Man accused of threat with a weapon

A 49-YEAR-OLD Warwick man was yesterday refused bail release from custody following a disturbance at the Bony Mountain Recreation Grounds.

The man, who cannot be named for victim identification reasons, appeared in the Warwick Magistrates Court yesterday, charged with breaching a domestic violence order.

Police were called to the grounds at 2pm on Saturday and arrested the man after a woman was allegedly threatened with what was believed to be a weapon.

"A search by police failed to locate the alleged weapon," a spokesman said.

The man is due to appear in court again on March 27.
