Maintenance delays pool re-opening

SWIMMERS will have to wait a little longer before they can splash back into action.

Council's facilities and recreational manager Greg Thouard, said WIRAC pools could not re-open on time after scheduled maintenance.

He said the problem was with water discolouration caused by the sand replacement program.

Until the water clarity improves, all aquatic programs at WIRAC have been cancelled.

Patrons wishing to use the pools are encouraged to ring the centre on 4661 7955 this Friday to check on progress with reopening.

The gym and dry court facilities at WIRAC are fully operational.
