SEQ highway again locked in holiday traffic hell

THE M1 is once again at a standstill as holiday makers head south.

Tomorrow marks the final weekend of the holiday season before many Gold Coasters head back to work, and it seems people are heading across the border.

Southbound lanes of the M1 resemble a car park from Robina to Tugun.

It’s the same story at Tweed Heads where the southbound lanes are also at a standstill.

A crash is also causing delays on Pine Valley Drive at Varsity Lakes where a car has rolled over.

Police are on scene and an ambulance spokesman said there was nobody trapped in the vehicle, but there was a possible fuel leak.
