TONIGHT'S room reveals were a low point on The Block Triple Threat.

The four teams were pushed to breaking point in the ninth week of their renovations on Channel 9's reality renovation show.

They were asked to finish their three-story staircases, study and all other common areas.

Only one team, Jess and Ayden, was able to complete the rooms in time.

That left little wonder to who would win, with the Gold Coast parents earning $10,000 and their first perfect score of 10 from judge Neale Whitaker.

The judges were impressed with their "sleek" stairway and glamorous pendant lights, as well as two functional study and TV nook spaces.

"We've seen their confidence level grow every single week; they've built on it every week," Whitaker said.

"This is like taking it to a whole new level."

Sydneysiders Josh and Charlotte came close to finishing and were praised for their elegantly simple study.

In the hardest week they reckon they've had in two series, all-stars Dea and Darren did not finish any of their rooms.

While their half-finished spaces showed promise, the judges worried they would not be able to finish their stairs and outdoor terrace next week.

"It's just so frustrating seeing this little hint of the tiling and the styling ere that giving you a sense of what it could be," Whitaker said.

"I'm just wishing I could have seen the whole thing competed because I think I would have really loved it."

Adelaide's Tim and Anastasia earned the lowest-ever score in Block history for their rooms, which still resembled a worksite.

"I don't ever remember walking into a space on judging day on the block and it looking like this, ever," Whitaker said.

Judges Shaynna Blaze and Darren Palmer also criticised their decision to turn one room into a home theatre, featuring a 78-inch TV, rather than a fourth bedroom.

"Nothing's finished but we're putting in a big TV, are you serious?" Blaze exclaimed.

"I think this is probably the worst room reveal I've ever seen.

"I am so worried about this couple at auction time."

The four teams will renovate their outdoor terraces, the final spaces in their South Yarra apartments, this week.
