Light rain for today, tomorrow
THERE might be enough rain to wash a bit of the dust off muddy paths and crops in the next two days but not much more, according to Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Michelle Berry.
She said there were only a few light showers inland yesterday.
“Instability will increase from Monday with afternoon showers and a thunderstorm,” Ms Berry said.
“It won't be a widespread rain event on Monday or Tuesday with 5mm to 10mm, if that.
“The rain will be heavier where there is a thunderstorm.”
She said there was more potential for widespread and moderate falls of at least 50mm on Wednesday and Thursday.
Meanwhile, the Condamine River is still falling across the Southern Downs region.
It was 1.62 metres and falling at the Scots Weir in Warwick at 11am yesterday.
The river height was 0.65m at Killarney, 1.7m at Elbow Valley and 3.05m at Murray's Bridge.
