Leyburn thrives on excellence
LEYBURN State School has achieved excellent results in this year's NAPLAN tests.
The school has been classified as “high achieving” and staff and students are ecstatic.
Leyburn State School is a rural school with only 24 children, but despite declining enrolments and the many challenges of a small school, staff and students continue to thrive.
The students at Leyburn State School rose to the challenge because of the high expectations, both social and academic, set by their teachers and the community.
Data from this year's NAPLAN tests will once again be analysed and a new progress plan set in place for the coming year.
