Mustangs victory in U13 game

MAX Somes, Dan Watson, Calvin Graham and William Carter were the four Warwick and District junior players who shared a South West Mustangs under-13 22-16 victory against Capricornia Capras at Rockhampton yesterday.

The score was 10-all at halftime in the state championship game.

Somes is from Wattles, Watson plays for Collegians, Graham is from Stanthorpe and Carter is a Goondiwindi player.

In the under-14 game, the Mustangs went down 28-0 to Capras.

Brodie Sharman (Wattles), James Wiggans (Border), Mitchell Forrest (Suburbs) and Ashley Quirk (Stanthorpe) are in the U14 side.

The Mustangs U16 side plays its first game tomorrow with Lee Lousick (Suburbs), Brodie Murphy (Collegians), Lincoln Cutmore (Border) and Dexter Hutt (Goondiwindi) the local connection.
