Kombi invasion set to take over the town
MORE than 100 classic Kombis will roll into Stanthorpe at the end of the month with the town hosting an annual Vee-Dub bash.
Last year the roadshow took to the streets of Lake Macquarie in NSW - but this year they're headed for the Granite Belt.
Club spokesman Leo Rowan said Stanthorpe was an ideal location for the Bus Stop gathering.
"We have members that drive from all states to get to one of these and Stanthorpe is well located for travel and a great place to visit,” Mr Rowan said.
"We are expecting Stanthorpe to be given worldwide exposure.
"Some club members will drive more than 3500km to get to Stanthorpe and home again.”
The event runs from March 30-April 2 and includes a photo shoot at
the showgrounds, street parade, fancy dress dinner party and remote control Kombi races.
