Jay Z is the pooch on the loose

JAY Z is on the run in Central Queensland.

The 18-month-old purebred boxer was last seen at her Glenlee home on December 23 and her frantic owner, Jodi Turney, has been searching far and wide ever since.

"She's not a rapper," Ms Turney said.

"But she has a family and I can't handle not having her, I'm heartbroken."

Ms Turney said the pooch escaped from the yard late last year with another dog, Lucy.

While Lucy was found wandering the streets of Rockhampton and taken home to safety, Jay Z is still missing.

"They have never spent a minute apart," she said.

"Lucy has doggy depression.

"I can understand someone wanting to love Jay Z, she would be missing me.

"Someone has her."

Ms Turney said she delivered over 1000 flyers to the local area and sent out over 3000 alerts online but was yet to hear of any news on the whereabouts of Jay Z.

"There is a $1000 reward offered to anybody who finds her," she said.

"No questions asked, I just want my dog back.

"I encourage people to keep sharing the message and keep the word spread."
