Newborn baby delivers marriage proposal on behalf of dad

IT WAS a message of love that little Nixon Abell brought just two days after he was born.
New parents Angie Gwynne and Jaimie Abell have had a double celebration with the birth of their little boy followed by a marriage proposal and acceptance.
Unwrapping little Nixon and his request from a blanket, Angie said it was a life changing moment.
"At first I didn't recognise the singlet then I read the words 'Mummy will your marry Daddy'," Angie said.
"I was lost for words, it was just such a surprise.
Jamie said he hatched the wedding proposal with a little help from the mid wives in the Coffs Harbour Maternity Ward.
The couple are enjoying the double of parenthood and engagement and will in time settle on a date for the wedding.
