Huge community drought appeal this Friday

FINAL touches have been put together for Friday night's community fundraiser.

The combined forces of Stanthorpe Rotary, Zonta and Lions clubs have put together a fun-filled night to raise much-needed funds for drought-affected farmers.

There will be food, drinks, a fun trivia competition, auctions, raffles, karaoke and more to keep you entertained.

The amazingly talented Kate Cook has generously donating her time. Kate is the 2013 Australian Independent Country Artist of the Year and 2014 Southern Stars CRS Australian Female Independent Rising Star of the Year with "Give The Girl A Spanner".

The great food will be available from 6.00pm courtesy of The Ringmasters Cafe, with table service menus available throughout the night at bargain prices.

The Snowflakes in Stanthorpe committee will be running Frosty's Bar

Countless local businesses have donated items for the multi-draw raffle, with major sponsor McDonald's giving away a Gold Coast luxury accommodation package, framed artworks, memorabilia items and furniture.

All the profits will be directed to the Channel 9, National Farmers and Rotary RAWCS fundraising projects.

Grab your tickets now from Bendigo Bank - this is one event you can't miss.

Event organisers thanked the Stanthorpe Agricultural Society and Volunteers from the Ringmasters Cafe for their most generous In-Kind donation of the hire of the hall and catering services, the combined services Clubs of Rotary, Lions and Zonta would like to advise of the local food drive for our farmers and for their working animals to help during the drought.

Attendeds are encouraged to drop off your donations of non-perishables such as pasta, rice, tinned fruit and vegetables, toiletries and dog food to the local food drive. The food packs will be donated to local farmers as well as farmers in Texas and Goondiwindi.
