House burns to ground

A HOUSE was gutted by fire at Beebo on the Texas-Yelarbon Rd at lunch time yesterday.

A Queensland Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said the first caller stated in a phone call at 12.36pm that part of the house was already lost in the fire.

"Units from Texas and Yelarbon travelled to the scene, 12km from Texas and the building had collapsed," she said.

"There was no one in the house at the time but the owner was on the property."

A Warwick police spokesman said the fire was believed to have started in an old cottage at the rear of the house.

"There were no injuries and no suspicious circumstances," he said.

"The QFRS will investigate the fire.

"The house was completely burnt to the ground."
