Holidays bring runners to weekend run

A TOTAL of eighty-two participants ran, jogged and walked the 5km course on Saturday.

On Saturday three first timers cross the finish line as first, second and third runner over the line.

Grant Reinbott was first with a time of 17:34. Blake Reinbott came secondin 18:09. Thomas Garbellini was third in 19:25.

In the female placings, Jenny Costanzo was first over the line and set a new personal best with her time of 21:37.

Amanda Gempton was second with a time of 22:40. In third was Lauren Head, who also set a new personal best time, finishing the 5km course in 24:12.

Roger Grevis-James, Julie Rappo, Adrian Garbellini, Joseph Garbellini, Jacob Hennoste, Jessie Johnstone, Christine Hood, Declan McBean, Grace Roberts, Mary Roberts and Denise Harslett also set new personal best times.

The Easter holidays brought 16 first timers to Stanthorpe parkrun.

Welcome Grant, Blake and Jack Reinbott, Thomas, Sam and Josephine Garbellini, Joshua Newnes, Simon Freeman, Eloise and David Schabe, Sophie Obst, Julie Anderson, Belinda Minotto, Lucy Andersen, Caitlyn Hennoste and Nadine van Trier.

As always, thanks must go to volunteers Amanda Watts, Hayden and Wendy Osbaldeston, Karl Foskett, Kim Micke, Kirsten Ellis, Margaret Porter and Paul Dachs.
