Head to the markets this weekend

NEW YEAR: Tash Jackson and Bridget Ryan at Market in the Mountains.
NEW YEAR: Tash Jackson and Bridget Ryan at Market in the Mountains. File

THE first Market in the Mountains is January 14 and is bargain time with many stallholders putting sale prices on some items.

Not quite a Boxing Day sale but a sale nonetheless. Their fundraiser for the day is for Tammy Conroy, who is raising money for the Rodeo Queen competition.

The true blue regulars will be there with all the bells and whistles, ready to toot. There's always time for a cup of coffee and a cake.

The 2018 free stall site book for charities and fundraisers is open, so if you know of a group which might be interested, phone 0417760529 to book.

The markets are held at the Stanthorpe Showgrounds from 8am to 12 noon.
