Have your say on food labelling options online

CONSUMERS have just one more day to have a say on country of origin labelling options, Federal Member for Dawson George Christensen has said.

"People want to know where their food comes from, and the Abbott Government have put forward alternatives for a new system of labelling that is simple, diagrammatic, that reflects the proportion of the product which is Australian, and that is compulsory," Mr Christensen said.

"More than 11,000 people have had their say by completing the survey.

"If you haven't had the chance to do so, now is the time to act."

The community survey closes tomorrow, Friday, July 3.
