Hanson set to reveal candidates running in next QLD election

ONE Nation leader Senator Pauline Hanson is set to announce candidates who will be running in the next state election on Sunday.

One Nation Party Senator Malcolm Roberts confirmed the news on his Facebook page.

"Tomorrow, Pauline will announce that she has 36 candidates running in the Queensland State election," he said.

"It's time for the people to decide what is best for Queensland not out of touch politicians from the LNP/Lab/Greens coalition."

The Daily Mercury reported in late November One Nation candidates will contest the seats of Mackay, Mirani and Whitsunday in the next state election.

Mackay has been held by Labor since 1942.

Mirani, won by Labor in the 2015 election, has traditionally been held by the National Party.

Whitsunday is a marginal seat.

It has been held by by both the ALP and (currently) the LNP since Harry Black won it for One Nation in 1998.
