Ham it up for Christmas

ROAST, pudding and prawns are normal treats on the table at Christmas and most of us wouldn't turn down a leg of ham either.

If you are worried about the expense of having a tasty ham on your table, then make sure you enter the Carey Brothers Christmas ham giveaway through the Daily News, which starts today.

Paul Carey said hams had been the first thing their customers were ordering, and always caused a stir this time of year.

“Christmas is coming up quick and we have 10 10kg hams worth $125 to give away,” Mr Carey said.

“I'm sure everyone can handle that extra money in their pocket at Christmas.”

To enter, collect four tokens and an entry form and post or hand it to the Daily News before 5pm on Tuesday, December 21, 2010.

If a ham isn't on your mind for a great prize this season, then there are plenty more prizes on offer through the Daily News.

Other competitions starting today are the Live Local Shop Local, where readers must shop at participating businesses to receive an entry form if spending a certain amount.

Readers complete the form and deposit it into that business's competition box before 5pm on December 21.

There are fantastic prizes up for grabs, including a holiday, a TV, IGA vouchers and family passes to Australia Zoo.

For a great holiday package, enter in the Quest on Story Bridge competition where you can win accommodation at a one-bedroom apartment at Quest on Story Bridge, breakfast for two and two adult climbs.

Complete an entry form and post or drop it into the office before 10am Thursday, December 2.

Other competitions currently on the go are the Christmas Lights competition, a chance to win The Chronicles of Narnia – The Voyage of the Dawn Treader pack, win Balista Flashing Blood Red lures or enter into the $5000 Aussie Giveaway competition.
