Granite Belt Choir for a gold coin coin

MEMBERS of the Granite Belt Choir have the solution to all the conundrums of life and they invite you to attend their concert on Sunday afternoon.

"Songs of Peace and Harmony” will deliver the zen moments and give you a restful interlude.

You can enjoy a glass or two of wine while you absorb the beautiful music.

The program includes a couple of songs that the choir performed in the Queensland Eisteddfod, as well as some new pieces that have been on their "wish list” for a while. These include quite a diverse scope of styles of music but all are delivered in the beautiful choral arrangements for which the choir has long been known.

A well known song by the Beatles is simply gorgeous in four part harmony, a short piece by Bruckner will transport you to a European chapel, a few Australian songs will remind you of why we all live in this beautiful place.

There is even a short bracket which includes an element of fun by the gentlemen of the choir which gives a nod to the venue.

The concert will take place in Swigmore Hall at Robert Channon Wines on Sunday, June 23.

The recital starts at 2pm and entry is by donation.
