Golfers take to green for carnival

GOLF: Golf enthusiasts are invited to attend Stanthorpe Golf Club's two-day competition next weekend.

The men's and ladies' open carnival, sponsored by Maddies Gift Gallery and City Golf Club, is $27 per player, including green fees, competition fees and burger lunch over the weekend.

The carnival will kick off on Saturday with a 4BBB Medley Stableford, with a shotgun start at 11.30am.

The carnival will continue on the Sunday, with men's 18 hole single stroke and ladies' 18 hole single stableford.

There are two tee-off times, 6-6.45am or 9-11am.

Players are asked to state their preferred Sunday tee-off time during nomination.

Players are asked to call the Stanthorpe Golf Club on 46811276 or email stangolf@halenet.com.au with their nominations and include their name, their club name, GA handicap, golf link number and a contact number.

Nominations close on Saturday, but late entries may be accepted depending on course capacity.

For more information call the Stanthorpe Golf Club secretary Neta Thouard on 0427080545 or men's captain Matt Waterworth on 0402808050.

There will be trophies given out at the carnival, as well as raffle prizes to be won.
