THE instant Diane McDonald stepped inside the Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery she knew she had to exhibit there.
"I was blown away, it's just such an impressive artspace, I think it's gorgeous," Ms McDonald said.
Ms McDonald will stage her fourth solo exhibition, titled Connections, featuring around 50 artworks at SRAG until to March 31.
The exhibition was officially opened on Friday night.
Ms McDonald has been a prolific producer of works since surviving breast cancer and a life-threatening melanoma nine years ago, working up to 12 hours a day now in her converted home studio.
"The health scares really put life into perspective and convinced me to invest myself wholly into my passion, which is painting," Ms McDonald said.
Connections features a range of landscapes and abstracts, with Ms McDonald's distinct style woven through each.
Her happy, positive nature is reflected in those works.
"It is a lovely way to connect."
