Women's champions Ballandean Football Club has already had its sign-on but people can still register by calling Neil Newman on 0438 639 626.

Tenterfield Thunder Football Club and Stanthorpe Inter Club are welcome registrations via website myfootballclub. com.au.

Stanthorpe City Football Club president Tony Einam said football was a great sport that was suitable for anyone to play from kids to adults.

He said the football clubs had great atmospheres, with positive feedback from the players.

"Most of the players we have come back to play for us every year.”

He said overall the sport was about giving the kids and adults an opportunity to have some fun.

"There's no big thing about winning or losing for our club,” he said.

"Getting out there and having a strong club is more important than winning.

"Winning is just a bonus.”

He encouraged anyone interested in football to join one of the clubs.
