Fashion and fun among winners at picnic races
MODERN glitz and glamour paired with old-fashioned family fun at the Torbanlea Picnic Races.
Known as the best family day out by a country mile, the action packed event was graced with sunny weather and hundreds of punters.
Stalls, amusements, live entertainment, wood chopping, foot races and novelty events meant there was something for everyone.
Frangipani Fashion of the Field attracted more than 150 entrants, who shared in $2000 worth of prize money.
Organiser Malcolm Chard said it was a good day, with numbers up on last year.
He said a jockey who had a fall was recovering with a collar bone injury.
Next year's races will be held on October 24.
