Osborne to feature at Morgan Park

ELEANOR Osborne will be the highest-profile local in the National Farmers Warehouse International Three-Day Event at Easter at Morgan Park.

The Allora eventer was eighth in four star at the Adelaide International last year on Mighty High, an event rated the highest profile in Australia each year.

While Mighty High won't be risked after a recent operation, Osborne will ride four other horses, including one horse earmarked as a possible for the 2016 Olympics.

One of the riders to nominate is Rebel Morrow; the best performed Australian in eventing at the 2004 Athens Olympics.

The event will take on an international flavour with three officials from overseas travelling to Warwick at Easter as part of the Global Education Program in the sport.

Irish official Joan Ahern will be among the ground jury with president Anne Tyler, of New Zealand, and Australian official Beverley Shandley.

The technical team on duty this Easter at Morgan Park includes technical delegate Jaroslav Stanek, from the Czeck Republic, as well as three Australian officials. They are Dr Vince Roche, Michael Ruddy and Norman Hindmarsh.
