Evening among lavender

FOR the first time the Rotary Club of Stanthorpe will hold A Lavender Affair.

Member and owner of the venue, Aloomba Lavender at Liston, Tere Bonner said it would be different to lavender themed Rotary events from the past.

"This will hopefully work out to be one of our more successful fundraisers," she said.

"It is going to be a Saturday afternoon and evening on the deck with a drink on arrival, the glass it is in, nibbles and a three-course meal, all while being serenaded by string group The Occasionals and St Joseph's School talent Matthew Manahan.

"Tickets are $55 a head and need to be paid for at Pierpoint Motors by 5pm today for catering purposes. There will not be tickets at the door.

"A bus is also running for an extra $10 from Pierpoint Motors and Aussie Beef Steakhouse at 4pm for the 4.30-8.30pm event."

Member Peter Bonner said it would be a wonderful opportunity for people from the district to mingle with and meet Rotarians.
